What are you reading?

Msters favourite book right now is David and Goliath. She requests that I read every 2 hours. For those that are unfamiliar with the David and Goliath story. Goliath is a giant Philistine who challenges any Israelite to fight him. David says he will and proceeds to knock Goliath over with a rock and a slingshot. Then he takes Goliaths sword and cuts off his head and takes the head to King Saul.

Sweet dreams my little one.

And then David becomes king of Israel after Saul is punished by God for not being sufficiently bloodthirsty and genocidal (Saul was supposed to kill all the Amalekites, but he spared their king - for those of you who don't know). And then David went on to found Jerusalem, but he failed to include a water source within the original city walls. And he sent Uriah the Hittite off to the front lines so that he could take Uriah's wife Batsheva as his own wife.

The Old Testament is just chock full of happy, family-friendly stories.
