Mean Girls

The other day Mster was going to have a friend come over. The friend is the same age. She spent 1/2 hour on a card for her friend. She wrote her name, her friends name and part of her friend's dad's name on the card. Then she filled it full with "mster writing" which is pretty much just what she thinks looks like writing. She was excited to share it with the girl.

So the girl comes over and Mster races to get the card and presents is to her like she's offering her gold and the little girl looks at it and says "those are scribbles" and doesn't even take it from her.

A few mornings later I saw Mster cutting the card up in tiny peices with her scissors. She told me "big girls don't like scribbles and I'm a big girl".

The whole experience broke my heart.

:( That is the saddest thing ever. I hate mean people. :(

And the dad didn't even tell her that that wasn't a nice thing to say?!?! If her parents don't teach her now to be nice, she's not going to be nice when she grows up either. Mster deserves better than that.

That little girl is terrible. I don't like her at all.

If you email me your address, I'll send Mster a card with all kinds of writing on it, and she can mail me back a special one with all her own writing.

And then I'll mail another one to the friend that tells her not to be mean, because mean children who make fun of people's bald heads or writing get EATEN BY BEARS.

It's in the Bible. I don't lie.

That happened to Mille back in January. Some kids in her primary class told her she didn't colour, she scribbled. She brought it up on a Sat night with a sad face. Mark spent time with her teaching her how to colour 'properly' and she's tried hard to colour in the lines from now on. Kids don't mean to be mean. They are just honest.

I hope she'll be strong enough to ignore the mean girls when she is older.
